How is the Certified Service Provider (CSP) paid for their services?
Answer:   The states pay the CSP for providing their CSP services to “volunteer sellers” at no charge.  Each state pays the CSP by allowing the CSP to retain a percentage of the tax reported and paid by the due date to that state for each “volunteer seller.”

If the CSP is also providing their services to you in a state in which you are not a “volunteer seller,” the CSP may charge you for those services.
