The Streamlined Sales Tax Governing Board (SSTGB) will meet on May 6-8, 2019 at the Biltmore in Providence, RI. Member state and non-member state officials, legislators and the business community are invited to attend. The Governing Board strongly encourages the attendance of each member state’s appointed Governing Board Delegates (legislative and administrative) to represent their individual states and vote.
If you would like to have specific items on the Governing Board Meeting agenda, including proposed amendments to the SSUTA or Rules, please email email@example.com no later than Friday April 5, 2019. The final agenda will be noticed to the email ListServs 30-days prior to the meeting.
The Governing Board will discuss the status of state implementation of the South Dakota v. Wayfair, et. al. decision, marketplace facilitator legislation, possible amendments to the Streamlined Sales and Use Tax Agreement (SSUTA) related to states accepting multiple returns for the same seller and revising the simplified electronic return, sourcing services, disclosed practices relating to digital goods, state compliance with the SSUTA and various other topics. We will likely also be reviewing changes to the Certified Service Provider contract and receiving reports from the various committees regarding their activities.
The final documents to include in the meeting publication handout must be emailed to Craig Johnson no later than Wednesday, April 24, 2019. If the deadline is missed you should bring at least 120-copies to the meeting for distribution with the meeting publication.
